Challenges

The primary challenge was to provide structural glass balustrades for the rooftop bar that would meet strict safety requirements while allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted views of the runways. Additionally, the various staircases in the hotel required balustrades that could seamlessly blend with the overall design, maintaining a sense of elegance and safety.

SMART Balustrades’ Solution

SMART Balustrades offered a comprehensive set of solutions. For the rooftop bar, they provided 1500mm high 1.5kN loading structural glass balustrades that ensured both safety and unobstructed views. For the staircases, stainless steel and glass balustrades were designed and installed, integrating seamlessly with the hotel’s architectural elements. SMART Balustrades also supplied stainless steel trolley bump rails, column protectors, and storage bays, enhancing the overall safety and convenience of the hotel.
